Hey! I’m Carlene!
I’m a lover of bright lipsticks, coconut milk lattes, breakfast food (#brunchsquad) and nerdy science jokes.
I was born and raised in Utah, but have called the other side of the Rockies home for the last 10 years. Since then, I’ve been teaching middle schoolers that science jokes are funny once you understand the science.
Knowing my finances for college were limited, the US Army gave me the opportunity to travel to Kuwait for a year (where I made some life-long battle buddies and even met my hubby).Don’t worry, they still made sure I got through college debt free. And I added a few more stamps to my passport along the way, including visiting my hubby’s family in China a few times.
Now that we are (mostly) settled, I spend my evenings cooking up new paleo recipes, re-watching old episodes of FRIENDS and The Office, grading (usually done while watching previously said episodes) or hanging out next to my husband as we both scroll our phones instead of choosing an actual movie to watch.
Since fall 2017, I’ve also spent my extra time telling everyone how much I love SeneGence® (they are the ones who make that crazy long lasting lipstick-AKA why I can wear bold lipsticks to school all the time).
