You already know that you want soft lips, that are smooth and hydrated, to ensure the best wear of your LipSense®. And when you want to rock some au natural color, you don’t want to dry, cracked lips. If you’re using a balm all the time, and aren’t getting results, then it’s time to change up your routine. I used to have different lip balms in all my bags and desk drawers, but nothing was so amazing that I bought it again. Once I switched to using SeneGence® products, I realized how smooth my lips became. Then my LipSense® wears better and longer. Plus, it’s so nice to have baby soft lips all year long. Read on to see my simple routine that will have you seeing results in just a couple days.

Exfoliate

Okay, so this step is everywhere when you google “how to get soft lips”. Sometimes it recommends a toothbrush, sometimes it’s just being really aggressive with a damp washcloth. I use one of our newest products (that’s becoming a fan favorite) Lip Smooth . The bamboo powder and ivory seed powder exfoliate and these are gentle on your lips because they are non-abrasive spherical particles. Too often we use scrubs that are crushed shells or whatnot, and the sharp edges of the particles can be too much on your more sensitive lips. Besides exfoliation, LipSmooth will help hydrate with shea butter, coconut oil and our nangai oil. These ingredients will help accelerate the exfoliation process of those dead, dry cell layers. This step doesn’t need to be every night- maybe once or twice a week.

Hydrate

After exfoliation, usually some lip balm or coconut oil gets slathered on and then you’re done. But, adding in this extra step for deeper hydration will make some of the biggest difference for your lips. I use our lip volumizer each night-it has kiss me quick plant to  to boost collagen production and moisture. One tube has lasted me over 6 months. It’s so good to apply after you just took off your LipSense because it instantly hydrates your lips. If you want to take it a step further- or just use this- apply a drop of nangai oil. I use this in the wintertime for my skin, but adding it to your lips will add those triglycerides (essential fatty acids) that help your skin retain moisture.

Seal in Moisture

Next, liberally apply our lip balm. It’s a small tube, but mine has lasted over 7-8 months when I use it nightly. It has lots of good for your lips ingredients. Coconut oil, cocoa and shea butters, and orchid flower extract all help to increase moisture and provide antioxidants. Bonus- it’s fragrance free and a matte finish. So hand over a tube to your husband, kids, whoever- since it’s perfect for everyone. The balm will help keep the lip volumizer and/or nangai oil locked onto your lips. If you want an extra amazing layer, I recommend using our collagen night pak all over your face as your final step, and dabbing a bit over your lips as well. This stuff creates a protective veil to help prevent drying that can occur overnight- making your lips soft and hydrated. It has plant-based marine collagen to restore and rebuild collagen. Caffeine to revitalize your skin. And copper and zinc for extra antioxidant protection.

This entire process will add about 1 minute max to your nighttime skincare routine, but the difference will be noticeable. Your lips will be soft, healthier and hydrated. This helps your bold color of LipSense® to last longer throughout your long days. If you’re starting out, grab our balm and scrub, then I’d recommend to add in the lip volumizer.
